Apliu Street in Shamshuipo, Kowloon

Apliu Street Flea market has both new and second hand goods. While originally offering more second hand in recent years the trend has been towards new goods. Now the stall holders here in the street source their interesting products from nearby Hong Kong and southern China factories and sell them in their stalls.

However a few second hand vendors are still active, including those selling power tools, old records, and as in this picture, audio system components.

Many Audiophiles appreciate the special qualities of the older traditional speaker systems, and here on Apliu Street you can see them for sale either as-is or reconditioned to as-new status.

Sometimes the goods on sale are mixed in with other things as in this case some garments. However the vendor in this case is particularly known for his speakers and has a wide range on offer.
