Apliu Street

Our street is actually quite short, though packed with interesting things.  It is a small road in the district of Sham Shui Po running from Wong Chuk Street through to Yen Chow Street.  It is parallel with the main road which is Cheung Sha Wan Road.

At the north end it ends just across the road from the Dragon Centre shopping arcade and the Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices.  By contrast the south end of the road is quiet and ends just past Maple Street Playground which is a hard basket ball court.

However most visitors do not venture south further than Nam Cheong Street as past that there are less shops of interest, and are more of professional and heavy duty types.  But then then miss out on the far end where the wholesale cloth and fabric shops or "piece goods" are sold.

The street itself is not a pedestrian zone, although it often feels that it is as the busy flea market prevents most traffic from passing through.
